2012 Branson, MO Tornado Photos

Most of the images below are of the damage found along the Hwy 76 strip left by the Leap Day tornado.  Yes, the destruction is so incredibly sad, but I think now more than ever, it’s important to focus on the positive.  The majority of Branson homes and businesses were fortunate to have not been affected at all, and those areas which were damaged already have the cleanup and repair process well underway.  Having done some disaster relief work in the past, I have had the experience of being in towns shortly after events such as this, and I can honestly say that I have never seen a community work so fast to cleanup and rebuild.  It’s incredible to watch.  I have no doubt that Branson is going to bounce back from this tornado in record time and be better than ever!

You have a wonderful website. I am friends with Joy B. in Hutchinson, KS and she shared this with me. I wanted to thank you for posting these pictures. My family and i are usually in Branson about once a year to vacation and haven’t been able to find multiple photos of the damage. I recognize a good portion of what is in these photos and know right where things are. What devastation….speechless as to the path of destruction these things leave behind.

Again, thank you for sharing. I pray that your friends and family were safe and didn’t suffer any damage.
