Here’s another recently completed custom design project – a showit flash web site + custom prophoto blog design!
When Sarah King of Capturing Fireflies Photography contacted me about web design, I knew it was going to be a fun project. I mean, how could it not be with a business name as cute as that! Sarah was looking to overhaul her online presence. She had just recently signed up for Showit, so the first thing on our agenda was to create a custom design for her flash portfolio site.
View the finished design here. The site layout was kept clean and simple with a home page featuring multiple images transitioning through a slideshow effect. A wood pattern and subtle stone-like texture was used to add warmth and dimension. The color scheme was inspired from Sarah’s existing logo, as was the font choices. Finally, perhaps my favorite feature is the custom flash element…the fireflies in the mason jar. I love how it adds the perfect touch of whimsey and helps make the site even that much more unique and memorable.
