Amy of Sunshower Photography came to us wanting to rebrand her wedding and portrait photography business. She wanted a look that was clean and modern, as well as, bright and fun. We began her project by creating a new primary logo design that incorporated custom modern lettering and a sun rays graphic element. A circular secondary logo and custom pattern set was also designed and features a clever raindrop theme to further coordinate with her “Sunshower” business name.
To add playfulness, we established a bright, colorful palette of plum, emerald, and green hues balanced with neutral browns. Then, we extended Amy’s branding into the following business stationery items: business cards, thank you cards, letterhead, custom rubber stamp, and cute raindrop-shaped packaging hangtags!
Finally, Amy’s online presence was given an upgrade as well with the creation of a completely custom WordPress web design with large-scale imagery and clean, modern page layouts. The site is fully-responsive, which means we optimized it for viewing on devices of all sizes – desktop computer, tablets, and smart phones. Some of our favorite features of the site include the footer Instagram feed, the “My Favorite Things” and social media icons, the full-width lightbox gallery pages, and the fun slide-in content animation effects. Interview with Amy
Please tell us a little about yourself and your business. I am a Charlotte wedding photographer, a mom of two crazy kids ages 4 and 6, and type B personality all the way. My business is built on warmth, trust and extremely personal service, I want my clients to feel like they know who I am from day one…and my website and branding needed to reflect more of my personality and style.
What do you think of your new design? I’m in LOVE. I’m obsessed almost, to the point that I visit my website everytime I pick up my phone, I share it with people that probably have no clue what difference a brand can make (you know, like my grandparents, etc.). I even asked my 6 year old son what he thinks :) (p.s. he loves it too!). I think that it looks just so much more like me. I’m a big fan of clean lines and straightforward design and purple. I love how it really FINALLY feels like something I can’t wait for people to see and identify me with.
Please describe your experience working with Tiffany Kelley Design. It was such a great experience. From the first contact it was amazing. Tiffany is so good at making you feel heard, and communicating exactly what the process entails. I think it is a little intimidating to commit to a multi-month project, and I loved how specific and detailed Tiffany was about what I can expect along the way. It was always so exciting when her emails popped up in my inbox with a new design proof!!!
What are your future plans for Sunshower Photography? I feel like I am just truly becoming more focused on working my way towards my goals with this business of mine. I am an avid learner and I want to continue to grow and stretch myself in wedding photography and hopefully make a lot of new friends and see a lot of new places in the process!
