Samantha will be our social media marketing intern this Summer! Samantha will be in charge of our social media posts and blog updates, as well as helping out during photo sessions. We came up with a couple of questions for you to get to know a little bit about her.

Where do you go to school?

I currently attend Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri where I am studying Marketing: Advertisement & Promotions and minoring in Communications. Bear up!

Where are you from?

If we’re going way back, technically I’m from the Philippines, but if we’re talking about the place I call “home” it would be Fulton, Missouri. My family and I moved to Fulton when I was about 9 years old so a majority of what I remember from my childhood is in Fulton.

What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?

If time and money weren’t an issue, a hobby I would want to get into would probably be traveling to visit every big soccer stadiums in the world. Weird, I know. Soccer is one of the things I LOVE to watch, and if you throw traveling in there it’s a perfect match!

Are you usually early or late?

Early. You know those people that arrives 20 minutes in advance and just sits in their car until it’s time to go in? Yeah, that’s usually me.

What are some small things that make your day better?

Dogs, dogs, and more dogs. I mean, who’s day doesn’t brighten up right after playing with a dog?

What was the last gift you gave someone?

I love gift giving more than receiving gifts so I do this very often. I just got back from going on vacation to Sanibel Island, Florida with a friend so while I was there I got my dad a hat, my mom a magnet with ‘Sanibel Island’ on it for her collection, and I also got my 2 best friends little turtle charms.

What city would you most like to live in?

I love the city and I also love being outdoors. Somewhere with a big city, some mountains, or a beach nearby is where I would thrive. Maybe somewhere like Denver, Colorado or Seattle, Washington!

What are you looking forward to in the coming months?

I will actually be studying abroad this coming Fall semester to Florence, Italy and I am so excited! I will be attending Florence University of Arts and Business and I cannot wait to meet new people, gain new friends, learn a new language (or try to!), experience the culture, and travel as MUCH as I can!

How do you feel about pineapple on pizza?

I am all for pineapple pizza. Love me or hate me for it but it is honestly a favorite…

If you were 80 years old, what advice would you give your children and grandchildren?

As cheesy as it sounds, I would tell them to be kind always and to surround yourself with people who have the same heart as you, and once that’s done I would tell them to go out and experience great things. You want to travel somewhere you’ve never been to before? You want to step out of your comfort zone a little? You want to try something new? Go for it! Go skydiving! Fall in love! Try that food you’ve always wanted to try! Apply for that internship! Life is amazing if you want it to be, you just have to go and make those steps.

We hope you enjoyed these questions and getting to know Samantha a little better!
